Willing Wednesday New "House Challenge"

Good Morning!

I say that with a lot more enthusiasm that you realize
because today I can blog!
Two days without internet does terrible things
to a girl like me.

Today is Wednesday which is fast and away becoming
one of my favorite days for BOTC.

Wednesdays are the days you get to see a bit of
who I am, who I love, and how I am learning to serve
instead of just what I do.

Because lets face it...I LOVE making all of the cute stuff,
but I NEED God for that to even be a reality.

One of my FAVS in the blog world is Casey Wiegand.
This morning I found her blogging about feeling so overwhelmed.

Between her work from home crazy talented job, and her 2 kids,

blog, and life in general, she felt like she was "drowning".

I could instantly relate. I always take on too much. My
desire to please EVERYONE and never miss an
opportunity to create custom pieces for everyone that comes
to call often outweighs the hours in the day.

I also thought back to another post I read from Aly that
really got my attention, and is my "Willing Challenge" for this week.
Not just for me, but my entire house.

Aly's blog was entitled: "God House". It immediately got my
attention as I saw it on my friend's Facebook page.
In the blog Aly discusses her plan for raising her daughter in
a home where prayer and thankfulness come before all
else.
She describes growing up in that kind of home by
saying that her parents had that "everything will be all right"
attitude.
She goes on to describe her plan for making that work.
She also says that by using the plan, she feels confident that
even when she can't hack it as a momma, God will so be
the center of her child's every day, that the minor hiccups will
not linger.

Here it is:

This week I will willingly, in all things give thanks, and in all situations, pray.
WITH my children and husband.
When we wake up, we say thank you. When we eat, we say thank you
(even for snacks and lunch) When times are tough, we pray. Even when
someone just needs an extra help with patience or obedience.

We started today. Little Sis was having a HARD time listening to
Momma, so I called my son over and asked him to pray for her with me.
My sweet baby boy put his hands on his sister and closed his eyes.
Little Sis was in shock I think by this new behavior during her fit, but we prayed
and then went about our business.

I LOVE this idea! I want my kids to grow up always KNOWING
that everything will always be all right!

Joshua 24:15

"But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."

Happy Wednesday
